bulletMaterials to support teaching and learning of key target statements for reading and writing

These materials have been created to help children clarify understanding of comprehension questions that require literal, deductive and inferential responses, as well as those requiring an understanding of authorial intent. They will provide Year 6 pupils with practice in responding appropriately to each of these, supporting answers with evidence from the text.

It is intended that the five activities can be used in progression or individually at the discretion of the class teacher to meet the needs of pupils.
